Now, back to the sewn fabric cards: Using a sewing machine gives the cards that special touch, either when sewing fabric or felt or just paper scraps.
I remember when I was a child, me and my sister loved creating homemade birthday cards. Now that I’m older, I like to carry on that tradition by making homemade fabric birthday cards for my loved ones. They don't take much time but make a huge difference, compared to just getting a store-bought card.
You can quickly whip up a few cute fabric cards in between your other sewing projects, or when you want the handmade birthday card to match the sewn handmade gift you're making!
So let's get to the list of cute birthday card ideas:
Fabric Scraps Birthday Cards
One of my top favorites. What a cute idea by Infectious stitches blog to use up your tiniest scraps! It's perfect for when you want to send a pretty card but don't have anything suitable. Personalized by color!

A felt and paper birthday card
This one is for when you run out of time to use matching scraps - just use two colors! What I did here was simply fold a piece of cardstock in half to create a card. Then I cut out the little banners from my felt scraps. You can use fabric scraps, too! Using my sewing machine and a simple straight stitch, I stitched the felt on the cardstock. (Use the longest stitch length for sewing on paper, it gets even easier!)
Or just sew paper on paper!
If you like sewing with paper, here's another easy paper sewing project to make a small notebook. A clever, quick diy idea.
