Subscriber Newsletters
If you sign up to our newsletter, you will be required to give you email address. I send approximately one email per week. Occasionally I will send additional emails about special offers.

We also collect your preference as to receiving only sewing-related posts, or any posts from the Website. You can alter this preference setting at any time by emailing us or clicking the 'Manage your preferences' link at the bottom of each email, and the system will automatically save your preference. The purpose of this is to assure you only receive the type of content you really wish.

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email, and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence, and you will stop receiving any mail from us.

Shop Purchases

Products in the AppleGreen Cottage shop are (also) sold through our own shop. You need to create your own Customer Account to purchase from the shop on our site. Your name, email address and postal address/country are required during the checkout process.

Payments are made through Paypal (read it’s privacy policy here).

Information about your purchase and your customer account is stored indefinitely. This way I can resend the files to your email address if you request that, and you can access your order history and other profile-related information. Your account is in compliance with the GDPR. You can choose to change or delete all your information, and your account, from the shop whenever you choose to do so, by clicking 'Edit Profile' or 'Delete Profile' in your shop profile.

Blog Comments

When you leave a blog comment, after I confirm it, your comment becomes visible. Your email address is never disclosed unless you include it in the main body of the comment. You name, comment and URL (if you provide it) are visible to anyone who visits the comment section.

We reserve the right to edit or remove the comments at our discretion.

The purpose of collection of personal data

We use the collected data in order to:
• Send blog newsletter, information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.

Email address: We keep your email until you revoke us your consent to do so.

Your Shop Account: Information about your purchase and your customer account is stored indefinitely. This way I can resend the files to your email address if you request that, and you can access your materials purchased in the past.

The user can withdraw consent to our data processing at any time. The user has the right to request from the Website access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning the data subject or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability.

This also means:
- If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email, and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence, and you will stop receiving any mail from us.

- If at any time you would like us to delete the information you provided to us, you can email us and we will promptly delete your information from the subscribers database.

- If you sign up to receive our email newsletter or post updates via email, there is a clear ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of every email so you can opt out any time.

- Shop Account: If at any time you would like to edit or delete the information you provided to us, you can do that by selecting 'Edit Profile' or 'Delete Profile' on your shop dashboard.

Security of your Personal Information

We secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We use the following methods for this purpose: SSL Protocol.

When you start making your purchase, your personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted through the Paypal service and is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. Also, we (our shop) never receive your credit card information, as it is processed directly by Paypal, subject to PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) that was put in place to insure customers' protecion.
