DIY Garden buddies - painted rocks

Collect several rocks, paint them in different colors and you've got yourself simple DIY garden markers. They are fun to make - even when you don't need them :)

I found the idea here. I love gardens, but have none. Apart from the many avocado plants (yes, I kind of like avocado - here :) on the balcony, and some lemon balm (see? we used some to make ice tea), and a beautiful lemon tree (with two unintentional but lovely and tiny pine trees sprouting from the lemon tree pot). In fact, we have quite a lot of greenery, when I put all these together. But I digress.

What I meant to say was that while there is no (edible) garden we could make the garden markers for, there is no reason for not doing just that. We just needed to come up with a different name for the painted rocks...

Well, not always. They will probably hold only through the next few watering of plants. If you want to make them permanent, use acrylic paint. I avoided it as the paint always ends up all over M's body when painitng, so I used what I think is safest - watercolors ;)
